Forum: GratefulDead Subject: This is the best JGB6-10-89 Frenches Camp

Ok finally got my first JGB show downloaded from the 89 SHN-Flac site and I must say that I'm trying to be objective since it was my first show with a story behind it but as a challange to any and all JGB fans out there is there a better show than this. The quality of this recording is probably the best your gonna get at this venue unless they release this officially but just listen to it. Sorry I guess I'm letting the cat out of the bag here but to all my Jerry band lovin friends here it's a must with a bullet.

what a great find!

see if you can track down a recording of 5/28/83, a show from South Yarmouth, the lobster must have been very good. i regretfully have never been able to find a recording that matches the quality of the show you found. the only online recording i found was a wma file on Sugar Megs and i know for the music purists out there it is substandard, but as a beggar i won't be a chooser.

!!!!! You can never go wrong with any of the JGB that tigerbolt has blessed this forum with!!! thanks tigerbolt, i know you see/hear it all the time but the gratitude is well deserved.

I would love to enjoy lossless legs, but i don't have a place to access/download bit torrents, sort of a foreign languege to me anyway.

is there a "for dummies" tutorial out there?

i enjoy your thoughts on the tunes

thanks

I Agree that's the norm, The thing is have you heard this show yet? It is equal and seems to be obscure until now. I'm listening now and officially saying this show is the balllllls. Nerds Beware, It took me a week to torrent it since there was only a seed but well worth it. This is my official begining to the 89 smoking run that follows. It's all downhill from here Ha Ha.

can't comment on the show you speak of since i tend to collect garcia shows mainly in the years of 1972-1984 which has a host of great shows with way to many to name.every monday i do a little garcia project of different songs from different years and i really like the shows from 72-84 but that's just me,music is so subjective.if it moves you go with it and enjoy it.if you would like to sample different years and songs try out my little garcia project.free to download.click on the download link, click on free and punch in the code and download.unzip the folder and enjoy. http://www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=128001

I completely agree about subjectivity and actually think JGB did a lot of it's best work In the earlier years but except this show which if you like raw Jerry like I do you will understand. Now I really need to hear the Greeks from after this. nUff Said I tink
